The Humble Paper Bag That Made Me Pause
These days, our lives run on apps. Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, Big Basket — whatever the need, they show up at the door in minutes.
And let's be honest: they've become our quiet saviors. The last-minute realization that you're out of eggs right before breakfast. Your kid announcing at 9 PM that they need supplies for a school project due tomorrow. The birthday gift for a classmate's party you completely forgot about until an hour before. Whatever the emergency, these apps have made life dramatically more manageable — for the working mom, the working dad, the son or daughter juggling a hundred things at once.
Hats off to the technology. And hats off to the innovators and disruptors who reimagined how everyday life could work.
So here's a question I'd love you to answer: What's your favorite app, and why? I'm genuinely curious what has earned a permanent spot on your home screen.
For me, one that consistently stands out is Blinkit — and not only for the speed. What wins me over is their delivery bags. They're eco-friendly, recyclable paper bags, yes, but Blinkit takes it a step further. They turn the bag itself into something engaging: quizzes, DIY activities, little challenges that nudge your creativity and give your grey matter a workout.
Today's bag was a Word Search — "How many products can you find?" As someone who genuinely loves word games, this instantly caught my attention. What was supposed to be a bag holding my groceries turned into a few delightful minutes of hunting down PHONE, TOASTER, PROJECTOR, LIPSTICK, THERMOMETER, and more. A simple paper bag had me fully engaged.
And that's the thought I want to leave you with. Innovation doesn't have to be grand or expensive. Sometimes it's just a piece of paper, reimagined with a little thought and creativity. A brown bag that could have been forgettable became a moment of joy and connection.
We often think creativity requires big budgets and bold gestures. But the real magic often lies in the small, thoughtful touches — the ones that make people pause, smile, and think. If a grocery bag can do that, imagine what a little creativity can do in the work we do every day.
